Opti Sort: Composition – easy to handle and space-saving

Opti Sort G-Series  Composition  |   Sorting criteria  |   Summary   |   Accessories

Due to the newly developed short construction of our Opti Sort G-Series, shortage of space in your pack shed is a problem of the past. This well thought-out machine is one-sided and can therefore be placed directly against the wall. Thus the machine does not form a barrier anymore but assures an optimal and steady flow of goods.

This could be your desired machine:

1. scanner      8. one-lane sorting line
2. feeding belt   9. chutes and collecting cups
3. pre-cutting unit 10. conveyor belt for boxes
4. washing tunnel 11. 90°-roller conveyor
5. water recycling unit 12. roller conveyor
6. singulation & cutting unit 13. elevator belts for waste cuts
7. optical recognition

Working with the Machine:

After an optional scanning 1 of the bar code on the box, the asparagus spears are placed on the feeding belt 2 and spread out with as little space between them as possible. After an optional pre-cut 3 which shortens the spears to 30 cms, the asparagus is washed in the washing tunnel 4. In order to reduce the water consumption, the water once used is canalized into the water treatment section 5 and used again. At the end of the washing tunnel, the washed asparagus is rinsed with fresh water in order not to allow any germs on the spears.

Afterwards the spears are transferred to the sorting line 8 and singulated so that no more than one asparagus spear per cup is transported to the camera. At the same time the aligning belt ensures the correct position of the spears for the second cut 6. We offer our customers the option of installing an elevator belt 13 that transports the waste cuts into a bulk bin. When passing the video camera 7, the asparagus is rotated and scanned several times, which makes it possible to recognize the entire surface of the spear and therefore achieve very accurate sorting results. The computer processes the collected data and determines the chute 9 in which the asparagus spear is gently dropped. Your personnel can now take the sorted product from the collecting cups and place it in the corresponding boxes directly above the chutes. In order to ease the flow of goods it is also possible to install a conveyor belt 10 on top of the machine and a roller conveyor 12 behind it to transport the full boxes. The last chute is the overflow, which discharges the goods that do not correspond to the predefined criteria.
